Corrections & Data Accuracy
How we handle errors — and how to tell us about one.
Our commitment
Our reports are compiled automatically from public and third-party records. Those records can lag, contain errors, be superseded, or omit information, and our processing can occasionally introduce a mistake of its own. When we have no record for a category, we say so rather than guessing — and when something is wrong, we want to fix it. Every fact in a report carries its source and a “last updated” indication so you can see where it came from and how current it is.
How to report an error
If you believe a report contains an error, email support@vetthehome.com with the property address or APN, the specific field or grade you believe is wrong, and — if you have it — the correct information and its source (for example, a county record or permit number). The more specific you are, the faster we can verify and correct it.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your report and review it against the underlying source records.
- If the source data has changed, we refresh it on our normal update cycle for that data set.
- If our processing introduced the error, we correct it and, where appropriate, update the report.
- Where a source agency’s own record is wrong, we’ll tell you — the authoritative fix has to happen at the source, and we’ll point you to the right agency.
Important context
A correction changes what we display going forward; it does not make a report an appraisal, inspection, title search, or professional advice. Always independently verify material facts with the original source agency and qualified professionals before you rely on them. See our Disclaimers & Data Sources and Terms of Service.
