DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

1. Our Policy

VetTheHome respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy applies to content uploaded by users — for example, agent logos and branding used in co-branded reports. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

2. How to Submit a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent (Section 4) that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  • Your physical or electronic signature, as the owner of the exclusive right or a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (for example, the URL of the specific report or logo).
  • Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Note: Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice can subject you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

3. What Happens After a Valid Notice

On receiving a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material and take reasonable steps to notify the user who provided it.

4. Designated Copyright Agent

Send DMCA notices to:

[DMCA Agent], VetTheHome LLC
[mailing address], Washington
Phone: [phone]
Email: dmca@vetthehome.com

5. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a written counter-notification that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)):

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found); and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless they file a court action seeking to restrain the activity within 10 business days, we may restore the material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving your counter-notification.

6. Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we will disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We also accommodate, and do not interfere with, standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify and protect their works.

7. Your Content & Responsibilities

By uploading a logo, branding, or other content, you represent that you own it or are authorized to use it, you grant VetTheHome the license described in our Terms of Service to host and display it, and you agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your content.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
